The 26th Annual Presidents Bowl events were a huge success for the Sioux Falls Public Schools. The outpouring support from the businesses in our community allowed the Presidents Bowl Committee to present each public high school with a check for almost $52,000  for over 50 program/activity additions or enhancements. This stewardship allowed businesses to put almost $155,000 back into our public schools. The 25th Annual President Bowl events included new this year "The Amazing Race", Football Games, Jr Football Showcase & Cheerleading Clinic, and a youth Basketball Tournament.

With 26 years of Presidents Bowl behind us, we are moving forward with even more ambitious and exciting plans for this year’s events. We hope the community rallies behind the Presidents Bowl’s mission, and join us in event participation or sponsorship. Participation fees and sponsorship fees will be allocated to public school programs/activities.

Presidents Bowl "The Amazing Race"

The 27th Annual Presidents Bowl events will kick off with an all new event replacing the 5K run/walk, "The Amazing Race" on Saturday, June 23rd at Riverdale Park beginning at 10:00 a.m. This is a new event for this area and it's sure to be a blast for all!  Don't miss out on this great chance to have more fun than you can imagine!  Grab a friend and be prepared to get wet, muddy, and have a blast!

Presidents Bowl Football Games

The day of this year’s football games will be Saturday, September 1st at Howard Wood Field. The day will kick off with the Jr Football Showcase and the Presidents Bowl Cheer Clinic in the morning, tailgating with Famous Dave’s throughout the day, and culminating with two great football games and so much more….

Our spirited Cheerleading Clinic will start off and will run from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. This is an exciting time for “future cheerleaders” to learn a cheer routine from the RHS, WHS, and LHS cheerleaders. Between the football games, the campers will showcase their spirit, and collaborative routine in front of 15,000 Presidents Bowl attendees.

Along with the Cheer Camp, future football stars will be invited to showcase their talents in a skills challenge put on by SD JR Football. Participants are challenged to show what they got and have fun competing in different skills against to best young players that are soon to be stars of tomorrow. This will also run from 10:00-12:00 at Howard Wood Field.

At 3:30 pm, the football games will begin with the first pairing of the Lincoln Patriots and Brandon Valley. At approximately 7:00 pm, the fields will clear for the kickoff between the Washington Warriors and Roosevelt Rough Riders.

Presidents Bowl Youth Basketball Tournament

During the weekend of November 16-18, the Presidents Bowl Committee will bounce on over to the local high school basketball courts for the Annual Presidents Bowl Youth Basketball Tournament. The RHS, WHS, and LHS courts, brought back by popular demand, will be the location for the basketball games. The 27th Annual Presidents Bowl will wrap up their events, with a check presentation at WHS, RHS, and LHS during one of their winter basketball games. Stay tuned for these dates! It will be Presidents Bowl’s year-end, grand finale to present the 2017-2018 grand totals to each public school.

It takes a lot of volunteer time and collaborative support to pull off each of the Presidents Bowl events. Most importantly, the committee would not be able to put on the previous events without the support from local businesses. At this time, the Presidents Bowl Committee would like to say THANK YOU to the sponsors and volunteers who help make the Presidents Bowl events possible each year. Please, take a moment to visit the sponsor page, and see who has invested in the Presidents Bowl’s mission on behalf of our local youth.

Presidents’ Bowl Check Presentations have occured at the following schools:

Washington High School- January 3, 2017
Roosevelt High School- January 14, 2017
Lincoln High School-February 7, 2017

"Presidents" Bowl was born a football game.

Since the first Presidents Bowl in 1992, it has grown to be so much more. Over the years, the various events have included a golf tournament, youth basketball tournament, a 5K run/walk, and other activities that bring the community together in support of the youth. As the primary source of booster club funding at all three Sioux Falls Public High Schools, the Presidents Bowl has included various other fund raising activities that reach far beyond the gridiron.
