The 27th Annual Presidents Bowl events were a huge success for the Sioux Falls Public Schools. The outpouring support from the businesses in our community allowed the Presidents Bowl Committee to present each public high school with a check for over $46,000 for over 50 program/activity additions or enhancements. This stewardship allowed businesses to put almost $140,000 back into our public schools. The 28th Annual President Bowl event this year will include a 1 mile, 5k or 10k race at Riverdale Park on June 21, st at 6:30 pm; Football Games featuring the Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. the O'Gorman Knights at 3:30 pm and the Washington Warriors vs. the Lincoln Patriots at 7:00 pm, a Jr Football Showcase & Cheerleading Clinic, and a youth Basketball Tournament November 23 and 24.

With 27 years of Presidents Bowl behind us, we are moving forward with even more ambitious and exciting plans for this year’s events. We hope the community rallies behind the Presidents Bowl’s mission and join us in event participation or sponsorship. Participation fees and sponsorship fees will be allocated to public school programs/activities.

Presidents Bowl Race

The 28th Annual Presidents Bowl events will kick off with the 1 mile, 5K or 10k run/walk on Friday, June 21st at Riverdale Park starting at 6:30 pm. Don't miss out on this great chance to have more fun than you can imagine!

Presidents Bowl Football Games

The day of this year’s football games will be Saturday, September 14th at Howard Wood Field. The day will kick off with the Jr Football Camp and the Presidents Bowl Cheer Clinic at 11:00 am, tailgating throughout the day, and culminating with two great football games and so much more….

Our spirited Cheerleading Clinic will start off and will run from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. This is an exciting time for “future cheerleaders” to learn a cheer routine from the LHS, WHS, and RHS cheerleaders. The campers will showcase their spirit and collaborative routine in front of thousands of Presidents Bowl attendees during the halftime show of the first football game.

Along with the Cheer Camp, future football stars will be invited to showcase their talents in a skill challenge put on by South Dakota Junior Football. Participants are challenged to show what they got and have fun competing in different skills against the best young players that are soon to be stars of tomorrow. This will also run from 11:00-1:00 at Howard Wood Field.

At 3:30 pm, the football games will begin with the first pairing of the Roosevelt Rough Riders and the O'Gorman Knights. At 7:00 pm, the fields will clear for the kickoff between the Washington Warriors and the Lincoln Patriots.

Presidents Bowl Youth Basketball Tournament

During the weekend of November 23-24, the Presidents Bowl Committee will bounce on over to the local high school basketball courts for the Annual Presidents Bowl Youth Basketball Tournament. The WHS, RHS, and LHS courts, brought back by popular demand, will be the location for the basketball games. The 28th Annual Presidents Bowl will wrap up their events, with a check presentation at WHS, RHS, and LHS during one of their winter basketball games. Stay tuned for these dates! It will be Presidents Bowl’s year-end grand finale to present the 2018-2019 grand totals to each public school.

"Presidents" Bowl was born a football game.

Since the first Presidents Bowl in 1992, it has grown to be so much more. Over the years, the various events have included a golf tournament, youth basketball tournament, a 5K run/walk, and other activities that bring the community together in support of the youth. As the primary source of booster club funding at all three Sioux Falls Public High Schools, the Presidents Bowl has included various other fundraising activities that reach far beyond the gridiron.  This year will include a run/walk on June 21st, the cheer and football clinics on September 14th, the football games between the Roosevelt Rough Riders and the O'Gorman Knights at 3:30 pm and the Washington Warriors and the Lincoln Patriots at 7:00 pm on September 14th, and wrapping up with the youth basketball tournament on the weekend of November 23-24.
